COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

Walker Memorial Library
We have been donating free family passes to the Walker Memorial Library in Westbrook to support programs that are geared towards children aged 0-5. This year Peekaboo donated passes for the "1-2-3 Play With Me" program. Participants of the March "1-2-3 Play With Me" were eligible to enter a drawing for a free family pass (single entry) to the Peekaboo Children's Center.

Children's Book Swap
We accept books in good condition for children (aged 0-7) and for parents (i.e. parental resources or support). On the first Monday of every month, the donated books will be available to Peekaboo's visitors for taking. Every 5 books donated will get a stamp on the Peekaboo Savings Card (a $5 value.) Giveaway limit - 5 books per child. Book donations can be dropped off any time during our business hours. For book distribution, please call the Center beforehand, so that we can make proper accommodations.

Children's Clothing Exchange
We collect and distribute gently used books, children's clothing, shoes and accessories such as gloves, hats, scarves, socks, cloth diapers for ages newborn to 5. The clothes must be in good, clean condition (no stains, rips, major fading or discoloration, etc.) and are subject to acceptance. Drop off your items during the Center’s business hours. Distribution of children’s items is by appointment. The "Clothing Swap" takes place on a last Tuesday of each month. Each clothing donation gets a stamp/punch on our Savings Card (a $5 value).
